In this photograph a Wrought Artwork's fitter is assembling the scrolls and other forged components with drilled and tapped holes, then screwing the elements together.
This is the traditional way of assembling ironwork. It is not welded. The look is extremely neat and of a high quality. If your budget allows this, it is our favoured assembly method. The look of a reproduction 18th century staircase can be successfully achieved. |
