Tables / Long Lunch Table with Harliequin Granite

We recently made this 14 seat table for a client that wanted an out door table on her balcony overlooking Sydney Harbour. A wood top would be out of the question in such a harsh climate and we helped her to source this wonderful  granite from north western Australia.

Called Harlequin  granite, the stone looks like an abstract painting of green brown black and red with flecks of gold showing on the surface, truly impressive. The surface was cut out of two adjacent slabs in the block and book matched. We set the granite into an angle iron frame on rubber cushioning strips.

The finish was a faux aged rust patina painted over a marin grade spefication industrial coating system for years of maintence free use in the weather. The table base is demountable to enable it to moved easily.

Total weight 420 kg
